or maybe...mellow out? I think I might fall into the "mellow out" category. my new psych professional reviewed my records. she literally said "some of these...don't make any sense...," which tells me we're on the same page. LOL.

but seriously...i may have been downgraded from schizoaffective to some kinda mood disorder that -had- a significant psychotic component...

but maybe has less of one now? or not really one, at all? I think after being psychotic, I saw everything as the monster coming back...

but really, this pro thinks I have severe anxiety and bad depression...bad depression as in it can turn into psychotic depression, but hasn't, in a while.

honestly, im thankful. and confused. my life has improved a good bit, too...maybe I just couldn't handle all the stress and my mind just broke, big time? i dunno.

I've heard that there is a small percentage of people who experience and receive a diagnosis of schizophrenia go on to recover/in remission fully and never experience any psychosis again, then there's a portion who go on to maintain relative stability with ongoing treatment/medication and then those who struggle for a large portion of their lives and continue to experience a large amount of symptoms despite medication

Not sure about your case but I'm glad things have gotten better in your life

I function pretty highly on meds but off meds... I deteriorate quickly.

Its kind of upsetting to understand that, even through all the therapy and time and treatment and effort- pull away the curtain and Im still the same messed up person.

I hope that, in your case- there CAN be a better. Stable is better, but stable with a less disabling disease... I hope that for you.

Keep talking to professionals. Theyll help you know your limits- and best of luck to you

I think so, to varying degrees. I'm (fairly) stable on meds. Off meds I'm a mess. I do some adulting like I have a full time job, I have an MBA stuff like that. But can I live on my own, no. Can I take care of myself on a day to day basis, uh sometimes.
