Roll Call 101

Morning. Hope everyone is having a good day.
Going to the dreaded grocery store today. Then I'm watching football.
What's everyone else up to?

Already went to the dreaded grocery store.....then we'll grab some lunch at jimmy johns and head to the movies to see kingsman too hot to be outside today.....

This is off topic from what i posted.

But i think about my dads family and my moms family. And their education and jobs. I just want to be as great as them.

I think about how some of my moms family...one cousin works at nasa. Another at Facebook headquarters. My dads family are doctors and teachers.

This is why its so embarrassing for me to get a degree at a no name uni when i see that even my own grandpa went to berkeley. Even was a teacher there. Top name uni’s......and here i am.

The problem is psychosis impairs cognition....if your family were ultrarunners and you had a broken leg would you expect to keep up with them? I think they would be happy if you finished a 5k on crutches....in fact you would probably have to work harder than they would in a marathon to do just that.

Don't worry about that @newtus do the best for you! I was told by my folks since they never went college/university that I was to be the first one in the family to do so. No pressure right! Wrong I gave myself anxiety attacks any time I attempted a test in high school or college and have to leave the room even if I knew the stuff or not. But I was successful in college twice in two different colleges because I believed in myself and that I knew I could succeed. And you can to just believe in yourself and the rest will come naturally.

PS. Stop worrying about what other colleges/universities other people have gone to. Worry about succeeding and mastering your own technique in becoming a philosophy major!

My gpa is now too low to goto any really good uni. In fact, not even sure im gonna get into this one. I cant go back to local uni. Not right now anyway. Cuz gpa. But then also cuz distance.

I mean i see the analogy. Its just hard accepting it. Most people that know me dont know about my mental illness. Family included. Even if people suspected something they dont know what i specifically deal with.

Im probably projecting too much into the future cuz idk if ill get into this school yet. Plus if i do, dont know if i could finish it.

You just got to take it one step at a time. Try not to worry too much about the what ifs in the future and just do what you can.

I'm rooting for you though!

My chest and side of my chest keeps hurting. Im kinda thinking its Costochondritis. (Sp?)

I didnt google that. I have it every once and awhile and many doctors ive seen have diagnosed me with it. Its simply an inflammation of the bones. I usually get it in my chest.

Morning everyone. I'm feeling a bit of anxiety but it's manageable. I'm just having a breakfast Sammy at Panera Bread. It's pretty rough from the look of it. Eggwhite, spinach, avocado and some type of bitter cheese. It's pretty good. They have a new cashier since the last time I was here. I had to struggle to keep my eyes up here when ordering.

I had no idea they served breakfast good to know.....

Oh yeah. they open at like 7am and have an entire breakfast menu, aside from just bagels and scones. Mmmm blue berry scone...

I'm already feeling anxiety because of the work I have to do on Monday. Saturdays are the best.
