(Which the the other pets share a taste of, of course!) I am having some mental health setbacks, but I'm working on them pretty well, I think. I am happy that I have planned a V-day surprise for tomorrow.
How's you this week?
I’m ok, enjoying the Olympics right now.

Sounds like you have a mix of good and bad but have a positive attitude about it all

Yikes. Just surveyed the damage to my bedroom and wow. There is soot everywhere. There were pieces of the vape in my pillow. I have to was the floors, walls, ceiling, furniture and bedding. Going to be a busy few days. There’s no way I’ll get through it all tomorrow.
I think I’m going to try to quit vaping. That explosion scared the hell out of me. What if it hadn’t woken me up? Or I was outside with the dogs. My house could have burned down. Or worse my kids could have been hurt. Not to mention what could have happened if I were using it.

It really is terrifying. The chances of that happening to you again though must be astronomical.

I would hope so. I’m still going to give it a go. Tomorrow will be my first without the vape or cigarettes. We’ll see how it progresses Roll Call #115

I guess it's not too early to go to sleep. I don't want to have another violent coughing fit. The nurse gave me a huge dose of cough medicine though so hopefully it won't. I felt feverish again today. I'm glad I finally got my Motrin but I have another headache. I just feel so crappy.

Not my roommate. Man she's been having the worst depression lately, and her boyfriend ignores her. They only see each other like every 2 months or something. I don't understand it.

She's suffering from seasonal affective disorder. I told her about woebot and having a box with cool stuff in it, from what i've learned from you guys. She's artsy so she plans on painting again... She can't see her therapist for another 2 weeks, but by then the up in lexapro should kick in for her.

That's cool. I'm on the last Ender's Game series book in a quartet

Then I might listen to some Brandon Sanderson or the Harry Potter series read by stephen Fry.
I still need to read the federalist papers, but i can only do that on the weekend, i can't do an audiobook for that. :P

Blue Bird, the whole idea of the invisible ring and what a person would do with it if they had one was an old greek myth, Plato writes about the it and calls it the Myth of gyges. After Gyges finds the ring of invisibility he does whatever he damn well pleases, he kills the king and takes the queen, but it's meant to be a moral tale. That's what people do, but Socrates wants to ask people what they OUGHT to do. It's a really cool myth

Yesterday i was exhausted so i didn't think i needed a sleep aid i've been taking, Benadryl, and i was up until 1:20am with no sign of closing my eyes. To be honest Benadryl isn't as effective anymore either... Studies show that after 3 days of usage it starts losing its effect. :/

The ointment they put on my eye wears off fast if it's only on the lid. It's itching so much. I just want to rub and massage my eyes. I can't, but I wish I could.

Sorry your roommate is having a rough time.....but glad you were able to help her out....especially with stuff you learned here Roll Call #115 there is another one too I call it do three things....the idea is to do three things you like all at once or sometimes used to like if you’re so depressed that you can’t feel. So pick a fun activity add music and food and you’re set. Painting with music while some brownies are baking etc or maybe use a scented candle etc.
