I don't like guns much, but i do appreciate my own equality as a person.
I'm not even legally allowed to own a gun bc I've been IVC'd

lol I saw jimmy eat world for warped tour early 2000s.they opened for blink 182 and green day. everyone hated them. part of their set was to drop ping pong balls down onto the stage from above. the crowd threw them back in the singers face causing him to stop singing

But not everyone knows enough to abstain. Look at the Las Vegas shooter. He was obviously ill but because of his 2nd amendment rights he was allowed to stockpile. He killed 58 innocent people. I don’t know what the answer is but somethings got to give. My son is pissed at me over this. I believe the age to buy guns should be 21. I don’t think 18 yr olds are emotionally stable enough to have guns. I also don’t think kids should be allowed to join the military so that argument doesn’t hold water with me. It goes against everything I’ve ever believed in to take away a right but guns in the wrong hands are taking innocent lives.
Personally I think the cops should have killed the little ****er. I hope he gets the good ole Texas death penalty and I hope it’s as scary for him as it was for those kids. I also hope the father is found criminally accountable. He knew his kid was unstable and still left his guns accessible.
Because of people like this the government is looking to take the 2nd amendment rights away from law abiding citizens. We live in a scary world when you need to weigh your rights against the lives of innocent people.

Well, we went and got me a new sim card, so I'm back on my cell network, yay! I can text again! My poor friend was upset at my weight. I really have to start taking off weight now. I still have a ton of Cheez-its and 2 more bags of chocolate stuff. If I get back to the gym everyday at least maybe I won't gain anymore. I'm going to really ration my candy hopefully.

Anyway, my friend perked up once we got back. I never seem to hug him enough. At least it's spring. I'm dreading another year here though.
Thanks for this!

Yay. That’s great!
I believe you’ll lose the weight. You just need to get to that gym. Your friend will be proud.
Hugs are the best. Well from someone like that. Not random hugs. I hate random hugs.

At the risk of sounding like a stuck record after all of these years, both of these books are really good IMO for changing your relationship with voices:

Living with Voices: 50 stories of recovery
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Living-Voic.../dp/1906254222

Working with Voices II: Victim to Victor
https://www.workingtorecovery.co.uk/...-workbook.aspx

I happen to be innocent, taking away rights against a group of people without trial is imo unconstitutional.....you’re obviously passionate about this but I respectfully disagree.

Fair enough. I believe you would be a responsible gun owner unfortunately the same can not be said for everyone. Like I said I don’t have the answers. I certainly don’t want the government to have access to our medical records. And I don’t know if screening mental health when applying for a license to carry would work. I’m definitely sane enough now to pass a screening. Telling people they have to stay on their meds wouldn’t work since I don’t want the government telling me how to live my life with mental illness. It’s just all sorts of ****ed up. I guess if I had the answers I’d be president. Maybe with Ollie North as the new prez of the NRA it will bring about some changes. I’m okay with my money going to him. I’m glad Hillary is not president because the 2nd amendment would no longer exist. Not that I voted for Trump. I’m a libertarian but they will never have a shot of getting into office. Stupid 2 party system.
Anyway I’m exhausted by the gun debates. I will just keep advocating for more security at schools. There should be a “dead zone” like there is at prison. Anyone who crosses gets shot on sight.
