Just ordered some peanut brittle and some chocolates from See's candies for Easter. OMG. My mouth is watering already. I ordered chocolates for my parents too.

How do you guys handle posts you make on Facebook? Like sometimes I post stuff that's negative and other people comment. Like they can fix me or something. I don't know. I don't want to completely stop posting on Facebook, but on the other hand, it's kind of embarrassing to have to keep justifying everything on there.

I don't really get that personal (usually) on FB. I post pictures of my cats and scripture verses and funny cartoons (non political) or pictures of landscapes or buildings or flowers. But only once in a while do I actually open up. I usually get good comments when I do, or else I'll just be cryptic and let people guess if they care to without validating their guesses. I just let them think what they want. I only joined FB because of the pandemic. It's how I can watch Church and be involved in Church. It's the only social media that I'm on. I'm not that old but I'm like old school.

TBH I don't think you're missing much. Just a time drain. Fun to look at something when waiting for the doctor or something but not really anything I "have" to do everyday. I know social media is an important influence in the world and in a lot of people's lives. I just never really got into it that much. In business school there was entire sections devoted to social media marketing and stuff. Maybe that turned me off.

I think really when people see a post about something, especially negative, they feel the urge to help. Like 'I don't feel like that so I think I can fix you'. Most people mean well though.

I don't really post much personal stuff on Facebook. I post a lot of memes, awareness stuff, food pics, etc. I'm not open about my mental health on my personal page, but I'm part of some Facebook groups. I think if I posted about mental health then people would think I'm just crazy hahaha.

I have a lot of relatives and online friends on Facebook and would be sad if I lost touch with them. That and some Facebook support groups/memes help me out. I would miss Facebook if I deleted it.

I'm a part of a bunch of cat groups on Facebook so I'm always liking/commenting on peoples pictures of their cats and I like posting cat memes on my page. Ever since I unfollowed a bunch of people (you can unfollow people and not have their stuff show up in your timeline without deleting them) Facebook has been a source of joy for me. Like my timeline is all cats now basically

I didn't get much done today at work. Couple of quotes and stuff. Eh. It's Friday tomorrow.

I was distracted and wrote down all the courses I plan to take for school, and what order to take them in. Basically, I have one course I finish in April, two I start in May, then after that, I have 31 courses left to take. On one hand, it sounds like a lot, but really to me, 31 doesn't seem like too much. I'm just excited to get going. I wish I didn't have to take this exam and I could just start my math courses already. I'm excited about some of my elective choices. Number Theory, and Intro to Game Design, Web Server Management, and stuff like that.

Anyway, I went and got a blood test after work. Then I went to the pharmacy and I'm getting so tired of pharmacies in general. They didn't have my lithium refill ready because 'it's too early'. I had to explain to them I had a dosage change - from twice a day to three times a day. So I have like a week left and I don't want to run out. Then they told me they would have it ready tomorrow. THANK YOU. It's just such a pain to have to argue at the pharmacy so much. Or go and it's not ready. Such a hassle, especially for new medication and changing dosages.

Yeah, I see your point. I'm FB friends with a lot of my relatives and people from Church on FB. And some people from High School. Gosh that was years ago. But my really good friends don't post much so I get a lot of random stuff in my feed. Like for some reason I get a lot of gymnastics videos. I watch them but I don't know how they ended up in my feed. I never took gymnastics, nor do I follow any gymnastics people.

Anyone tried any insoles for plantar fascitis? My right heel has been killing me and I'm pretty sure that's what it is. I just ordered some insoles a bit ago from the internet that is supposed to help with the pain. Usually it's only really bad in the morning and at night but today it has hurt all day. I'm going to ice my heel tonight I think and forego my afternoon/evening walk.

I love the cat stuff you post! I get it unfollowing people who are negative all the time. What really bugs me is when people post vague passive-aggressive things basically waiting for someone to ask 'what's wrong?'. I don't understand why people don't just post what's wrong and vent!

I've had to unfriend a couple of people because I couldn't stand their bigoted 'conservative' transphobic Islamaphobic trash. Ugh.

If you can afford it, go to a podiatrist or chiropodist and look into custom-made orthotics. Basically, insoles custom measured to your feet. They really help a lot more than off-the-shelf insoles.

IDK about in the US, but in Canada they usually run around $300-$500, depending on where you go. Averaging around $450.

I used to pay insurance claims and they were probably the most popular medical supply out there.

Thanks! That's good info! There's something called The Good Feet Store here in the US and they are supposed to be really good orthotics like the best, I guess, but I don't have a store near me. I'd probably have to go to Los Angeles. To go to a podatrist I'd have to get a referral, which is possible, just takes a while. I'll try these that I ordered online, what's $40 right? And then if it doesn't help enough I'll try to get a referral from my doctor. I know a good podiatrist that my Mom has used for surgery on her feet and my sis too. I see my doctor end of April so I should know by then if these insoles are going to do any good.

Yeah, I like seeing pictures of my friend's kids and my cousin's kids and stuff. Not that I see them much in person even outside of Covid but it's nice to see how they are growing. My sis hardly ever posts anything really, but not much of her kids. So that's kind of a shame because those are the kids that I want to see. Well actually kids and adults. My oldest nephew will be 19 in May!

Why do I almost attract creeps? My roommate had a friend over. Kept going on about how he wants to be with me. I told him no means no. I told him I wasn't interested. He kept scooting closer to where I was sitting at. Said he wanted to kiss me and I told him no. When he left I took him off facebook and discord. He was outside for 1 hour after being told to leave.
he's blowing up my roommates phone over this.

Yeah he sounds creepy. If he keeps pestering your friend then maybe you should go to the police about it.
