So apparently my sister is on oxygen now, they’re saying it’s unlikely she’ll make it and I can’t visit because she has covid.

Saw my new T Julieanne on Zoom on Monday night. She has ADHD and it shows. She zipped from subject to subject and her camera was all over the room. She's nice though. Quirky.

I feel slightly hypomanic. I got zero sleep last night, the cat made it hard to sleep because she kept attacking my feet. I've been obsessively looking at different Christmas gifts I want to get for my family for hours. I tend to get hypomanic and sometimes even manic when the holidays come around.

I got on here to complain about Spravato apparently not being "indicated" for schizoaffective.

So annoying. I inquire about it at this place, and they say it's only for people with "recurring major depression" or whatever. Silly. I mean I experience "recurring major depression."

Anyway. That kind of angered me.

My thoughts are with SP and JunkDNA though. That stuff really is a lot more consequential than what I have to complain about right now.

So update, a new doctor wants to give her more time rather than immediate hospice care....so there is a chance.

In order to cheer me up bf took me shopping and I got a mini pointsetta and some jelly belly candy canes.

I can't sleep, I've been up since Tuesday morning, it's now 10pm Wednesday night. I just took my thorazine, I guess I'm stuck on it. I'd rather sleep too much than not at all

So my roommates daughter who just turned 6 this year and was 5 years old when her (great) grandfather passed away. She came to me crying saying she missed Papa. I gave her a hug and told her that it’s ok. It gets me thinking how do young children comprehend death. My roommates aren’t religious and don’t really believe in Jesus and for the most part atheist. How do you teach a child about death? What’s appropriate for their ages?

I had significant grief when I was young - I lost two grandparents when I was relatively young. I think the best way to comfort them is just to hug them and say it'll be okay. Sometimes it can help to put things in perspective but I don't know about at that age. It could be too young to tell them anything about life & death, you know. Maybe divert the child's attention to a fun game whenever they think of something so heavy? Just throwing out ideas.

Have them make a book of things they would tell papa or drawings they want him to see....like a journal. You can say that you aren’t sure whether he can see them because we don’t know but why not take a chance that he can. I mean we have kids write letters to Santa so why not.

I just had an appointment with my psychiatrist, she prescribed Naltrexone to help with weight loss, hopefully my insurance approves it, it has to be prior authorized. Aside from that, I'm staying on all my meds, I told her about going off the perphenazine, she said I can just keep it to take as needed if I end up needing to go back on it in the future, and I picked Miss Mustachio up and showed her to her. It comes prescribed as a medication called Contrave which is a combo of Wellbutrin and naltrexone, but I'm already on Wellbutrin tablets so she's just prescribing the naltrexone

The prior authorization went through and the Naltrexone was approved and is ready, I'll pick it up tomorrow

Right now I'm watching a Christmas movie on Netflix called A Christmas Prince
