I was diagnosed with mild schizophrenia a while ago but in recent months it has become a lot worse.

My delusions are worse than they have ever been and i am very confused as to which are true. Yet after an appt. with my pdoc i am worried that what is happening to me is not common to schizophrenia. I am a pathological and compulsive liar and along with these delusions i am having, i have made up complex stories and trick myself into believing them; almost like fanatasies.

Could anyone shed light on whether this is common or not?

Well I can't sympathize with the pathological liar part but Docs also don't believe any of my delusions...they think I just make them up or that they are caused from drugs or alcohol even if I'm not currently using. I don't know what to suggest but I do know don't always allow the docs to determine what is or what isn't wrong with you. We know we have a problem and hopefully one day someone will see that and understand.

I, too, create fantasies in my mind, and have a hard time distinguishing beween fantasy vs reality.............. Usual to schizophrenia?

I am a compulsive liar, too....

So perhaps it is a bit common? My friend's mother is a compulsive liar, too......not too rare?

Do not feel like you are alone with this..........PM me if you want........

Are you telling the truth?

Usual to schizophrenia? Usual to schizophrenia?

I tell the truth about the deep, big issues & lie about small issues, exaggerate them to make them into big issues.......

Ah no, i am the opposite. i belittle things and tend to lie about emotions (i.e. refuse to show upset or anything). I lie about pretty much everything IRL but there is not much point on here.
