Nobody noticed I was MIA, but here's the reason anyway. I'm now working in San Francisco, and I can't get to this site from work, plus my hotel's internet connection doesn't work well. So, you'll probably only see me Thursday-Sunday here.

LMo, I'm so very sorry that I missed it. I am so wrapped up in my own crap that I haven't been as supportive lately as I'd like. My humble appologies.

Hey, I noticed! It's just not like me to simply come out and ask such things, that's all. Good to see you back.

It was YOU LMo. I just knew someone was missing. My goodness, of the 6000+ members here, I just "felt" there was someone missing, and it was YOU. Thanks for telling me, it would have bothered me all weekend. :rotfl:

Hi LMo -- So sorry you feel "unmissed" if there is a such a word.

I was on and offline last year a lot, and nobody seemed to notice the difference! An online friend has gone MIA bec. of increased responsibilities, and I know s/he feels unloved bec. people don't notice.

As stated above, we are all crazy here! I hope you are enjoying your stint in the City by the Bay.

LMo, my favorite thing about the S.F, Bay Area is all the Eucalyptus trees. Ever since the first time I visited out there, I've had a "thing " for Eucalyptus, so much so that I finally managed to get a small one and plant it by my patio here in Florida. It's now tree sized already and the blue/green leaves make it really stand out, not to mention the smell.

Butters, I'm with you there! We lived in SF for a year and while we really didn't feel at home there, I had completely forgotten how great it smells! All the flowering coastal trees and bushes. Yum!

I left work early yesterday before heading to the airport, and took the bus to my old neighborhood. I bought some gallon-sized Ziploc bags, and then got our favorite Thai takeout and flew it home to my husband. He was happpeeeeeeeeee!

MMM -- many years ago a friend took me to one of SF famous bath houses, where we sweated with eucalyptus leaves on the fires. Great.

I was just checking out the prices on aromatic oils today and realized that, now that I'm unemployed, I can no longer afford such luxuries. I am trying to think of ways that I can make my own oils. For example, the sweet orange smells a lot like orange peels as they get mushed in the disposal, so I'm thinking that if I mushed them with an oil in the cuisinart and let them mature for a while -- maybe I'd have an aromatic oil???

But what kind of oil would I use that has no smell in and of itself? Common mineral oil? Doesn't that have a vaguely fishy smell?
