i didnt find your question to be rude at all. the voices i heard were like people talking to me in my head. usually they were the same volume as my own thoughts but when id get worked up sometimes they'd yell. i havent had a lot of hallucinations. all the strange things i saw were in my mind's eye. dont know if that helps, but that's been my experience.

When they started they were doing many things, I'm not sure which one was first. But they involved insulting me, insulting others, having my thoughts or their thoughts get narrated in my head. Later, as in now, they've gone more towards telling me what to do to certain people (i.e. standing in line and they'll say, break his arm, slit her throat, etc...) and give more details on how and what to do. I ignore those, they get angrier and yell more then usually go away. Visual hallucinations don't go away but you didn't ask for them.

Wowee reddragon lucky u listened thats a pretty wild story! I always hav a voice talking in my head but its my voice, i dont know whether everyone has this or if its something different. It can be very nasty sometimes or sometimes ill have a conversation with it in my head (i dnt speak out loud bak 2 it ) and sometimes it will just ramble on with crap. But what i dont know is whether its just me talking to myself or if its something else. Also i always hallucinate that theres cockroaches near me but again this just could be because im absolutely petrified about them...i think im just going crazy. Ive never thought that ive had schizophrenia its just lately ive been reading comments and things on here and its got me thinking...

hi rachie,
i have my own voice in my head, but that is something i think everyone has. sometimes it surprises me when it kind of 'says' stuff, but again - it's my own voice and so that's generally ok.
sometimes when i get majorly stressed i will hear other people's voices. i don't have schizophrenia, but i post here sometimes because not many people understand psychosis. but yeah - it's possible to hear other voices and not be schizophrenic. anyway, these other voices carry out conversations with each other, or sometimes try to talk to me, and that kind of frightens me (i'm ok if they leave me alone) so if that happens, i take some meds.
sometimes when i get super stressed i also see bugs like you've mentioned. but like you - i'm terrified of them anyway, so it could just be an anxiety reaction. the meds i take to help with my voices also help with the bug stuff - not that it makes the bugs go away, but just calms me down about them being there.
i also see and hear other stuff, get convinced ppl are following me, have poisoned my medication etc.
i've talked this over with my doc a few times and he swears it's not early schizophrenia for me. he just thinks that it's a stress-reaction (and abnormal one, for sure) but nothing more to worry about than that.
i think it would be worth talking over with your doc if it worries you. i'm not on antipsychotics all the time - just for a week or so if i start hearing stuff and it stresses me out. a lot of the time, i can get away without taking anything.

Even though I don't hear voices that often, when I do its weird. A few weeks ago, the government agents in my house said, "I'm going to kill you!" and then the next day they said, "kill! Kill!" Yesterday they said something that doesn't even make sense unless it was code for something that I haven't figured out, they said, "Scott (that's my brother's name) its past 10 o clock." I looked at my watch and sure enough it was past 10 but I don't think that is what they meant. It probably means they are trying to get him to spy on me or something like that. I'm not good at figuring out codes. I hear my name being called all the time and random noises. Sometimes I hear helicopters that no one else hears or jets flying overhead with their afterburners on to check up on me. Each "episode" I get I hear voices more often. I also get visuals, tactile, and olfactory hallucinations but most of the time I think they are real and not really a hallucination. I know some of them are like a few days ago when I was taking a shower I saw a brown bird fly down near my door. I know that wasn't real. But the same day the gov shot a laser at me and missed, it was a red laser but that was real as the gov is in my house nearly everyday. I love the gov! They like to spy.
