I don't want to go back to school. I'd rather just stay in my bead the whole damn year.
Honestly I'm scared, I aint looking forward to this one bit, and in just a month my depressions gonna start all over again...and that won't be good...as soon as I start getting happy again, too.

And then high school...omg...I know its a bit early to be thinking about this but after the 8th grade [what I'm going into this year] I'll be in it..and apparently I'm going to a good school, [I'm enrolled in an academy middle school now], but just because I'm in a "smart kids school" doesn't mean they're all nerds or something, they still tease and in fact alot of them are failing, that school just gives second chances.

Well anyway, I've checked out 2 of the high schools I can possibley be going to, and it's 1,000+ kids.
I am NOT looking forward to that many kids.
I'd rather keep to myself.

At the moment, I hate school. >.<

Ugh, I know what you mean I'm going into high school this year, nervous as ****. School anxiety SO does not help things.

Do you have friends you could hang out with? I know you probably won't want to join any clubs or anything, but having a friend or two over every now and then can help.

I truly do hope things work out for you We're here for you

I know what you mean. I'm about to start my SENIOR year, and I'm pretty excited, and a bit depressed my high school career is about 2 be over

My advice to you is, try to make the best of your school year b/c before you know it It will be over. Find something you like to do, and people who like to do it. I wish you all the luck in your new school year !

I'm so sorry sweet cakes. I have 3 big kids and they told me that when you get into high school it is so much easier with the friends. Maybe this year might be easier for you. Try to be positive about it. You should really be proud of yourself because your very smart.
Nervous about school starting again...

My daughter will agree with you about school. I always tell her when she feels she cannot go to school and how will she do it "One step at a time, one day at a time."

Remember, you are at least lucky to be a freshman, you will meeting plenty of people and you could make a lot of friend.

I transferred here and felt very lonely since everyone had already the chance to know each other, and it was the freshman year.

I'm going to be a senior next year and it will be the toughest for me. Colleges, SAT, EXtra curriculum activities are getting on my nerves. You will know the stress when you will be there.

Don't worry, you'll have a fantastic time

How do you know your depression will start again in a month? Sometimes we let old routines become self-fullfilling prophesies. Even if you are going to the same building, each year of school is different. Sounds like this year your class will be the oldest in the school - different from last year when there were some older kids around. Other kids change over the summer, sometimes actually maturing. . .

If things are still a problem, you might want to check out if there are on-line schools in your state. I'm a special ed. teacher in an on-line school and I have many students who's main problem is social anxiety. We try to have activities like field trips and things like that to get students together sometimes but for the most part they are at home with an adult, and teachers and others just a phone call or e-mail away.

That isn't an excuse for sleeping all day and not doing any work, but if it is a real issue it might help to get the education you need.

I felt the same many times when I was younger, but suddenly I discovered that school is actually there for me to learn about the world and I am actually interested in learning about the world, so I started looking forward to the learning and worried less about the people there. But you will get to meet many new people, friends and enemies, it's just a part of life. You won't stay in one place forever, just focus on that point, that you will eventually move on.
