hello, my anxiety is causing a comprehension problem with my studing for college, and my college means the world to me. Plus, it is keeping me away from my art and photography and wanting to learn web design. Can anybody give me some advice as to how to get past this? I really could use some advice. Tizzy

Do some things on your own in the directions you like. Like you say, it's "my" art so work on your own projects and read some things and maybe get a free website and play with web design and the more fun you have the more confident you might get that you can do it.
The biggest thing that helped me was constantly reminding myself over and over that I didn't have to learn it all "at once". When I'd look at my classes at the beginning of the semester, I would see all I didn't know or understand yet and get anxious but if I just stayed in the "moment" and worked on the little bit in front of me, eventually what I knew/could understand would get larger. When you're in first grade is not the time to worry about graduating from high school :-)

Perna that is great advice, I'll take it on board too. The way I am now made my other diplomas seem fun and as easy as pie to complete. Now I look at something like household chores and think "Where do I start?! I just don't know where to start!".
But this advice is good and sensible too. What say we both give it a try Tizzy and report back in a few weeks to see how we're doing? ((((hugs)))) Rhiannon |
