I started this semester with an intractable cluster headache/migraine, 15 days; basically first 2 weeks of the semester. I am so far behind in reading and with notes. I dropped classes and am down to minimal hours, 6 - 2 classes. Both have said they base their tests off lectures but am seeing that is not the case; am having to read additionally to explain the lectures; besides they have indicated in their syllabi specific chapters that are supposed to be covered.
I am still trying to recover, after so many meds, trips to the ER, losing 18 lbs in 2 weeks, am fatigued to say the least, and still not thinking clearly, depressed and overwhelmed. I am in touch with all of my providers but I have no idea how to cover all this material for these tests, one in a week and the other the week after. This is not like me as I usually would have it all covered by now and would just be reviewing. All I can see at this point (which may not make sense) is to focus on the lectures, whatever reading is needed to explain them and if time, do additional reading. Would this make sense? Any suggestions? |

As a former college professor, I would encourage you to talk to your professors and see what they say. I always tried to accommodate students the best I could--even allowing them to postpone tests a bit, if need be.....Hope you are well soon. Sounds like you've really been through it!
