Got a place in college but I can't afford to go. I'm still at home and can't get any financial support because my dad earns too much, even though he won't give me any money. It looks like I'm stuck working and going nowhere in life, if I go to college I'd have to leave my job, which means no money, which means no college. I don't even know what to do with my life yet, part of me thinks I should wait until I do know. But then I want to move forwards I don't want to be stuck working every day at minimum wage for the rest of my life. Ah!

I am pretty sure students get loans, a loan is where a lender provides you money for college tuition until a certain amount of years pass then you have to pay back.

Hey, can you declare yourself independent? Then financial aid only considers your income, not your family. I grew up in foster are and have no family so my financial aid is only based on my work.
Check into it. Good luck. |

I'd take a distance education course or two, online, while you work:
http://www.open.ac.uk/ You can use them to figure out if college is what you want and what you might like to study, etc.

I had to use my mom on my financial aid application even though I lived over 1000 miles away. You're not considered independent unless you are over the age of 24. Unfortunately, all I can think of would be to apply for private student loans. Having loans sucks for school, I know (I have a TON of student loan debt), but in the end its worth it because no one can take you education away from you. Maybe you can go to school part time for the time being. Good luck!
