We all know that stress does not help us mentally. How do you guys get through final exams?
I try to take small steps and get a good night's sleep before the exams. Receiving a good mark makes me feel awesome and that's really the only thing that keeps me going. Procrastination and mild depression/anxiety really kicks in for me during finals.

I definitely try to get a good night's rest before my finals, and make sure everything is prepared the night before so I'm not rushing that morning/day.

I've also found exercise to be a huge help.
I break things down into small goals and then prioritize. I also use a reward system -- I had a huge anxiety-inducing presentation to give yesterday, and once I got through it, gave myself $9. I would have given myself $10, but I could only find $9... Oh, and focus on one thing at a time. Don't even THINK about everything else. Only the task at hand. But then, I tend to have essays instead of final exams, so I'm not sure if this will be any help. Good luck to everyone dealing with finals right now!! |

I'm not doing very well. My shrink gave me Ritalin to help me concentrate because I'm depressed but I just feel blank.
