I'm in grad school. This week is finals. Two tests and one paper. But I just found out some bad news that I can't get off my mind. I'm a good student and usually don't have trouble studying or finishing things. Right now I'm way too preoccupied. And not really sure what to do.

We could imagine having a pre-post exam party? Hmm. I'll bring nachos and balloons. Don't know why exactly but balloons seem to make me smile.

I'm in the same boat. I just got news that my old apt (I am in a new city now) was basically ransacked right before the final inspection. Some people had broke in and had been living there and they left a horrible mess. So, Not a chance in hell of getting the final deposit back. Hard to concentrate on homework with all the drama going on right?

Sorry to hear. I wonder how you are doing with the drama and school work?

I had a wild time, very upset, then just crashed due to stress. Woke up at midnight disoriented and realizing that I had an exam in the morning and hadn't even tried to study. I was still so distracted that I ended up mostly just writing in my journal about what was bothering me.

At some point I went over the lecture notes. Just sighed and assumed the worse. Went in to the exam room and finished early, thinking that I really didn't know. The teacher said if I wanted to wait, he would grade it. I got a 98! Totally surprising. Gave me a nice boost and encouraged me to try to jump in an problem solve about what's bothering me to resolve it. I at least made some progress and things are rolling now. Boy, am I tired though, and I still have a whole week of this.
