I dropped out of my college class because it was too stressful with trying to deal with my therapy for the abuse in my past. I feel stupid for dropping out. I just could not handle people looking at me. One of my inners did something at school and I just recently found out about and am now scared to go back to school. I don't know weather or not to believe it.

Its okay to drop classes if its pertinent to your health. I know right now you feel low because you had to do it, but it says nothing about your intelligence and it doesnt make you less of a person. Do not be afraid to jump back in when you are ready. You can only succeed if your mind is well. If it became to stressful and you could not handle it, you may have done the right thing for the time being. But do not be afraid to jump back into school when your life calms down a bit.

First time I went to college was soon after high school. I didn't have an easy time in high school and carried a lot of that with me into college. I wound up dropping out. Today I've learned better coping skills and am an honor student. Time can change things for you.

Sorry to hear about the abuse and personal issues. It's ok to drop out of a class. I dropped a few classes, even failed some exams or simply didn't show up, but it's going ok right now. If it's a mandatory class, can you do it another semester maybe?

Can you undrop the class? I dropped out of a program and changed my mind within a week. They let me back in.
But it's fine to drop classes when you need to. I hope it all works out for you. |
