Okay, wasn't sure where to put this, but here works fine. If here doesn't work fine, feel free to put it somewhere it does.

Anyway. Today I got suspended from work. I work at a theatre as an usher, which is a pretty boring job but I get to see shows and get paid for watching them, and the people there are super supportive.

Getting suspended had nothing to do with mental health. It was because I kept misreading the calendar, and not realizing I had a shift, and as a result my boss would call me asking where I was and I would have to do the hour commute to work, late, and get there just as the show was starting.

Money isn't an issue for me (thank god) but because of mental health issues I've had to drop a lot of my courses in school. So I have a lot of free time....

And this is the problem. Without work, I have too much free time, and I've started to find that this makes me go steadily more crazy. I stop getting up in the morning (something I've always struggled with) because i don't have a reason to. I end up not cooking and cleaning, because I feel I can always do it later (and as a result spend a lot of my time hungry but putting off eating... I hate cooking), and being completely unproductive.

I also spend a lot of my time playing D&D (for those who don't know, D&D is Dungeons and Dragons, your stereo typical Tabletop Pen and Paper talk it out adventure style game where you roll dice and pretend your someone else), and since my DM (the guy who runs the game) is my best friend, and we play online... or on the phone... or well, anyway we can. And so now that I don't have work, and not much school, I have started neglecting myself and spending more time in a fantasy realm playing a character (who I'm extremely attached to btw) who has more social issues than I do.

Anyway, I guess what I'm asking is does anyone have ideas of how I can fill the time as I wait for my suspension to be over?

Just a couple of ideas that have worked for me when I've gone through phases like this:

*Find an exercise buddy, schedule time to exercise either daily or every other day. If you're meeting someone, you're less likely to back out on it.
*Volunteer somewhere that has a set schedule for you (same time, same day, so there's no getting things mixed up)
*Set a schedule for yourself - put it in your phone with reminder alerts so that you will be reminded to eat, clean, leave the house, etc.
*Make plans with friends for lunch or dinner, so that you will have a reason to get cleaned up and go eat

Volunteering is an awesome idea. You could volunteer at homeless shelters, animal shelters, abuse or drug centers, libraries, schools, Boys and Girls Club (big brother/big sister program), tutoring, hospitals, and I know there are tons more. Whatever you like, there is probably a place to volunteer at.
