Wow, seeing that first post quoted sort of makes me feel bad about how not-far I've come in the past three years. I still have the same struggle! So much aspirational clutter!

I hope my partner never finds this account, but I do throw out his things now. Nothing sentimental or expensive, but junk like dried up jars of paint or the remnants of long finished or abandoned repair projects. Whenever I ask, I am sorry I did, so I have finally learned not to ask. So far there has been only one item that he was looking for later - but I really don't know if I threw it out or if it just got buried. Whatever, he spent ten bucks on a new one.

Re: the recipes - are these family recipes or stuff your MIL clipped out of magazines and newspapers to make some day?
