In addition to depression I have fibromyalgia which will be a life of chronic pain with no cure (at least not yet). Many days this gets me totally in the depths of misery. I always try to thank my higher power every day for something that I am grateful for (roof over my head, warm bed, etc). Some days when I don't feel I can even come up with something, a neat thing will sometimes happen. I have limped into a store on several occasions and been very disheartened that it is so painful to walk. On two occasions when this happened I went around a corner and almost walked into someone in a wheel chair. One time it was a teenage girl. So even if I'm in pain I have to stop and be grateful that I can still use my legs.

This is a really great post!
I'm always grateful to everyone here who pour their hearts and minds and souls out in hopes of finding answers, hugs, acceptance, compassion and love. Each person has taught me something along the way and I am better person for having the opportunity to connect and learn from them. Finding the little things on a daily basis to be thankful for can be difficult at times. But if we keep our eyes opened we will see them and sometimes in the most obscure places ![]() Hugssssss J |

I also have chronic pain. The other day, I was feeling down, and a man walked into the store on crutches -- without a leg. I understand completely how grateful these reminders make us for what we do have.
