WOW, that's why I need the "habit change group" too. Doing something completely alone, gives this clammy feeling: "Oh, is it a new day, how shall I be able to live through it"? While on the other hand, belonging to a group were everybody struggle to build their habits, gives me this feeling: "Oh, what a beautiful morning, here I am struggling with my habits like the rest of you, but be sure I will do my part".

Day 4

I hope the other participants will be back soon!

I like the steps and find them valuable, but I don't like that the "FlyLady" is trying to sell me a lot of things I don't need. If I need them I can by them in the nearest shop.

I jump over all the advertisements.

hope its not too late to jump in! I love the idea of this thread. whether or not the science is faulty, I just like the idea of being accountable to make a change so i dont flake out and can cheer others on (and be encouraged, myself!)

i wont try to overwhelm myself, but want to pick one mundane (aka more practical, "workaday" goal and one pure pleasure pursuit (to give myself permission to build some play time into my tightly scheduled obligation-serving day - blech)

GOAL 1: do some kind of exercise just for 1/2 hr per day. if i can get out of the house other than times i have to (like for work or errands), i would consider this a plus. anything movement-wise is better than nothing

GOAL 2; plan a different creative project once per month. im so held back by fears of my output not being good enough, looking stupid, that ive just frozen and stopped having a creative outlet. . so, for 21 days, i will throw myself into a project, somehting just for the h#ll of it, just for the total enjoyment and damn the results! I figure 21 days of going for it will break my anxiety logjam....So, I will commit to working on my Joan Crawford/Bette Davis cross stitch (a surprise for my friend)....

I'm still here! I joined weight watchers online last Friday so I have been tracking my food and exercise on their app. I think my biggest issue is, I tend to overdo exercise one day so then I don't do anything the next day because I feel really tired. I am going to just try to be more consistent I guess. But I am in week 3 or 4? I'm losing count! This is the longest I've done anything ie exercise and weight and good habit related, consistently in a long time. Like fifteen years.
Thanks for this!

Who wants to join me in this? You can have any goal you want. I have a tendency to go overboard and make way too many goals at once so I'm just going to pick brushing my teeth. I want to do that thoroughly 2 times a day.

Feel free to jump in!

I would like to set a habit change to brush my teeth twice a day instead of once a day. I get lazy at the end of the day:/

Im like on week 5 of weight watchers online. Ive thought about giving up a couple of times but i prepaid for 3 months, and ive lost wgt, so why not stick with it.

The thing that surprised me yesterday is that - i am finding out what i like, and valuing it. Like my favorite ice cream is a chocolate and vanilla twisty cone. Nothing fancy! But perfect for a person who cant decide, right? So thats what i bought fixins for yesterday. All this time ive been getting fat on ice cream that wasnt even my favorite. Maybe now i will start getting skinny doing the things i love. Thats the plan anyway.
