Does anybody want to talk about meditation? Gus? Ramororico? Sorry if I spelled your name wrong.
I have been meditating. Still not everyday, but maybe I will work up to that. I found this article: How We Get Hooked By Shenpa -- Pema Chödrön ? Lion's Roar How We Get Hooked By Shenpa -- Pema Chödrön ? Lion's Roar I am finding that I really like the Buddhist teachings I read. It's helpful. I like that in Buddhism, you hold yourself accountable. I think it's helpful to see the good and bad in ourselves, be able to admit it, and strive towards compassion and kindness. |

Sometimes though, I do feel like Buddhist thought...I find myself trying to control what I'm thinking and how I'm being, as a reaction to reading and hearing Buddhist teachings and meditation stuff. It could be my desire to be perfect at it, and of course, I'm just a grasshopper!

I meditate sometimes, too. I would also like to do it every day and am not sure why I don't. I downloaded some guided meditations to my phone and use them to calm myself down when I am driving and feel road rage urges

most of my posts on meditation are already in the Member Forums: Meditation and Discussion of Buddhism. i'll link them for you.
(p.s. the reason you had the same link twice is not getting the link utility to work right... it's that little chain /world under the smiley icon at the top of the page where you compose... ) http://forums.psychcentral.com/group...editation.html http://forums.psychcentral.com/group...-buddhism.html best wishes on your meditations~~~ ![]() |
