(I'd love to see what YOU do in order to keep your mind free of troubles too) Read a book play with my stones and rocks and crystals crochet go for a walk (and get my flue shot!) Walks are good in general, especially at this beautiful time of year chores self-care go to a meeting go to church cook something tasty call a friend or family member come here onto the Forum and add things to this list.... or makes friends here or give others support here! Write a list of my good characteristics write a list of my good job qualities name my caregiver qualities write a list of things I can do with my client Think of things to change the subject to, if someone brings up "the problem." I want to add to my list above, that I should think of things that I am grateful for. I think that is a really important one. We should think of these things as often as possible to keep ourselves in a good frame of mind!
So I went and got that flu shot and had a nice afternoon walk too, on my way there and back. The mountains were beautiful. I ran into an old friend who was getting his flu shot too, but we did not recognize one another! We talked for something like a half an hour, then we introduced one another as he was leaving and discovered how we knew one another! We remembered one another's names, even though each of us has changed a lot since we last saw one another five or so years ago. How strange was that? Probably not really strange, because we live in a small town of about 1800 folks, but still, it was a bit odd.

I had one, but our maintenance man ran it down with the lawn mower! I never bothered to replace it. However, I do occasionally see birds and squirrels in the trees, both of which I very much enjoy seeing. We have cardinals here, so you can see their bright redness anywhere very easily. They stand out!
