I'm very self-critical and demanding. I want to be nicer to myself. I want to give myself more breaks, love, rewards, praise, peace and happiness.

Thank you! So far today I'm being kinder. I spent an hour this morning looking at funny photos from Ellen and SNL. I really got a good laugh.
It is a horrible habit. I like your suggestions. My T even suggests lowering my expectations. I'll really lower them today since I decided to have a cheat food day early. |

Today I want to be extra kind to myself. I just spent the morning filling out forms and mailing them off. I deserve a reward. In the back of my mind I hear, "Order pizza." Yea, that would be nice. Or I can make pasta and fresh vegetables. Hmm, I'll think on it.

Today is the day to order Pizza!! It's my reward meal day. I'll have wings too. Also, I'll paint all day. My favorite hobby. I'll play some games too, read and watch a little Hulu. It's a ME day!! And I'll celebrate with my cat and get some extra snuggles today.

I'm being extra kind to myself by becoming "smoke free." I've giving up vaping. It's better for my health. I'm using the patch while I transition off. I'll have to be extra patient with myself while I withdraw from the physical act. It's my coping mechanism.

I haven't done well with the quit vaping. And I'm expecting a lot out of myself with my new art device. I really need to be patient with myself and all I feel is depression.

Cause I was patient with myself on the pen tablet and gave myself a break, I did much better this morning.

Bring kinder to myself is one of my goals too...
If I may add? I'm working on creating little hand written notes (that I believe in, not just sunshine and rainbows) that I can read any time. Slowly changing thought process and brain patterns.

Welcome! Those notes sound like really good ideas. Yes, I can relate in changing thought processes and brain patterns. My T is helping me with that a great deal. I'm always telling myself to be compassionate with myself.

Being patient with yourself is a good way to be kind to yourself. I used to be harder on myself, but am becoming more patient with myself as I go through the process of learning how to be assertive. The art device sounds fun
