When I talk in front of groups I should be more positive and uplifting but my inner critic takes hold and I talk negatively about myself even if I'm feeling good about myself at the time. It's strange. It happens a lot. Is it low self-esteem I have to work on?
Thx in advance if anyone has any idea if this is what the problem might be.

@walkingthecow I hear you. The inner critic is always negative. Developing self compassion is a way to counter the constant onslaught of the inner critic.

The quick 2 minute version of self compassion is this


Kristin Neff is a professional that is an advocate for self compassion. This is a long talk by her
you may find it better to click on the gear below the video and change speed from Normal to .75 to slow her down she is talking fast.
