Aiming for a 10:15pm bedtime tonight for a 6:45am rise time tomorrow. I didn't realize until about 3:30pm today that I forgot to take my Nuvigil and Effexor. I don't think they're as effective for alertness as a good night's sleep. I mean, good sleep is 10x more effective. But they do have other effects.

Yawning right now, CPAP has been working really well, despite how hard it is for me to wake up and get going. Never feel fully rested. I am thinking my psych meds might be boggling me down. I have been sleeping sound and consistently without any symptoms for over 2 years, so I think it's time to revisit my medications and see if I can ween off of some of them. I am really about the Lithium and my organs, and it is stopping my weight loss goals.

I am hoping it will help me be more alert if I am taking less medication. Hopefully, my doctor agrees.

Had a good 8 1/2 hours last night, hoping to ge to bed by 11pm tonight.

I just woke up ahead of the alarm and turned off the upcoming alarm for today. So, woke up at 6:45 AM and am completely alert and well rested. This is such a rare feeling for me. Oura shoes that I fell asleep at 11:22 which means very fast as I went to bed at 11:18.

Then I woke up once in the middle of the night, and had a little plain kefir to quell hunger. Then I feel asleep again very fast and slept until now, logging more than an hour each of REM and deep sleep which for me is excellent and unheard of.

I was testing new wrap-around Bluetooth headphones and they work great. I will continue using them to make sure they are a solid product. Why do I care? In May I will take a vacation with my friend L who herself has just started using a CPAP and for budgetary reasons we will be sleeping in the same hotel room, so I want to be a BBBle to play audio without disturbing her. These wrap-around headphones work well under my CPAP mask.

Lately Ritalin has been working well and I will take it later today if I start feeling sleepy. Right now, I do not need it.

Good morning!

Had a really good sleep last night. Been sleeping well the last few nights since I've changed my mask. I am due to buy more CPAP supplies, but I don't think I've reached my deductible yet, so I might have to pay out of pocket again and it's soo expensive.

It's 8:38pm, planning on going to bed around midnight to be up at 8am.

11:33 PM good night!

Have been up since 6:45 AM

Took Ritalin at 8:26 PM

Did not need a nap

Was productive at work, went to my yoga class, did laundry, prepared a bag of clothes to donate, finished listening to a book... had a good day.

Because of my dental surgery I was at my sister’s house. I slept soo good there. It turned cold again and their house was cold, but she had heavy blankets. The perfect combination. I slept well the night of my surgery then following my surgery I think the meds contributed to sleeping very deeply. I woke early but decided not to get up and was able to sleep again for a total of 9 hours! Unheard of!

I like that too: cold air, hot blankets. I sleep under two comforters in winter. Neither is too thick but together they do a marvelous job.

11:38 PM good night!

Last night, I woke up to pee but was not hungry. Did not have to drink milk or kefir in the middle of the night and my glucose come morning was at a very good level.

First, woke up at 7AM as usual with my first alarm. Then, decided to stay in bed for a little longer. Ended up sleeping until 8:40AM and then waking up w/o an alarm and feeling so rested that I did not need Ritalin today. Oura shows slightly over 1 hr for each REM and deep which for me is pretty high and good.

Saw the pdoc and reported how well and how gently Ritalin is working. He was visibly pleased. And I am thankful to him for trying to find a solution for me even though narcolepsy is not his speciality. I will see my sleep doctor only in July and she does not respond to messaging through Stanford health app. I messaged her, I messaged her assistants, all to no availl.

Oof. Though the low outside was 29F or -1C I needed the windows open all night. This is a hot building. I’m not the only one 3 out of 6 of us who play poker have had our windows open all winter. Except for that one week it was sub zero. I find most people like it cold to sleep. So we are not alone in preference of cold room, warm blankets. But for most of the winter I slept with only the sheet and sometimes my knitted blanket. This building is very hot. I wonder how much the heat has to do with my not sleeping well. I slept pretty good last night until the sun came up. It heats my rooms fairly fast. The thermostat said 78 but now that the sun is moving on it’s cooling down. Even with black out curtains the sun heats my apartment fast in the mornings. I find myself conflicted. I love sunshine, but not heat. But when it’s in the 30Fs I can’t run the air conditioner. It’s one of the draw backs of this building. I wonder if those of us with the open windows are all on the east side?

I do like cold nights for sleeping. By cold, I mean 5C (41F) or lower. If it's above 10C (50F) I'll leave the windows open a crack, and the heat will be off or set back.

I like the weight of the blankets, not so much the warmth.

With all her meds, my wife tends to be hot. Yep, she's my hottie.

Glad all you folks are sleeping well!

Good to see everyone!

I have been sleeping well the past few nights, hardly any interruptions. Going to bed early and it's only 9pm. It is a really cold night here too, so I am getting under the warm covers too.

My migraine attacks have recently become frequent. I keep using acute meds against them. Probably a side effect of Ritalin as nothing else has changed. Will write to my neurologist.

Ritalin causes migraines. The neurologist confirmed that headaches are a known side effect of Ritalin.

For now, I do not want to try other stimulants. I will up my water intake and see if that helps.

It was a common expression when I was growing up in the upper Midwest.

Last night I went to bed very late because I had locked myself out of my unit and was let in only several hours later. So this morning I needed a nap.

Today, I am being a good girl. 11:10PM bedtime is not bed. Took Seroquel and Gabapentin.

I am trying to select sleeping headphones compatible with the CPAP mask.

I have tried ones with a mask over eyes and sent it back: it did not fit under the mask.

Wrap-around ones work with the mask. I am now vacillating between lc dolida and perytong.

I need them because I am going on vacation in May with a friend and I will share hotel hoom/cabin with her, to save money. So I want my audio audible to me alone.

Slept pretty crappy last night - just had one of those nights when I felt a bit manicky, with a bit of racing thoughts and couldn't get any rest. Then my friend finally got back to me and I spoke with him on the phone till 3am - definitely not conducive to restful night's sleep.

Had to get up early at 8am so the CPAP only recorded 5 hours worth - but without my morning meds, I have managed to stay up all day without feeling tired or sleepy, I have been actually alert. I'm so grateful I found the reason I was taking so many naps during the day - the meds are really heavy. My pdoc will probably yell at me when I tell her I am taking half my meds in May, but it's not my fault she went on vacation for three weeks.

Planning on going to bed at a decent hour, maybe early, hope everyone gets a good night's sleep!
