Cant find a pdoc that will take me in, either because they DONT take insurance here anymore (400.00) a visit.....OR they DO take insurance, but just arent taking clients. and i make too much money to qualify for help. So...i sit here on no meds, my life feels like its falling to the wayside, and I dont even like me anymore.

I cant spend another day on the phone hoping somebody will help me.

now what?????

Can a regular doc write a prescription for you?

Seconding this. Worse comes to worse, having a regular GP write a prescription and helping you is better than nobody helping you.

Have you tried looking outside your city/area for help in maybe a neighboring city/area? A little road trip is better than not getting any help at all.

Otherwise, I'd advise going to the ER. Seriously, if they think you're a danger to yourself, they're more likely to help and they may be able to refer you to someone who CAN help and who meets all your criteria.

Agree with what has been said. A few years ago before I found my current T I drove about 20 miles to go to a doc that would see me. I even had a tough time find him but it was worth it just to feel a little more settled on meds.

If you are in really rough shape - and I don't say this lightly but going to the ER can be a resource. At least in Massachusetts they won't hospitalize you unless they feel you are a danger to yourself or others and can be a resource for getting help until you find something more permanent.

Maybe not a good suggestion - but I hope you find someone to help you out.

Could you call your insurance and see what they recommend?
