Its been a month and a half. Well, sort of. I cheated a little a few days ago. But it was only a safety pin! So it doesn't count.
Anyway, I'm in a sucky, sucky mood. I know exactly what will make me feel better. I'm absolutely ready to throw a month and a half away for a few minutes of calm or peace or a glimmer of contentment. I am dangling by the thinnest thread, and I feel like I'm going to snap.

I'm not, and while I've had opportunities to get help, I'm always too scared to take them. A few years ago I was even in the psychiatrists office, but got nervous and lied and told him the only reason I was there was because my friends can't take a joke.

What many people have done here is to come here and we give you support every day so that you can make your appts., get to your first ones, and continue to go. This stuff IS scary but it is the best thing that you can do for yourself because therapy IS the path to healing and health. I have done many things very scared and when I forced myself to do these things anyway (healthy things of course!) I realized that my anticipation was much worse than facing any of it. If you don't face these things they loom huge over you and are very scary. If you face them, they crumble before you and the relief that you finally get is indescribable.
