Does anyone find it weird that I would get enjoyment out of popping zits. I just did one and it got me to thinking about my teenage year again. I've always enjoyed popping them. Not only because I know they will heal and go away, but also because I get to stand in front of a mirror and watch myself squeeze my skin so hard it rupture and bleeds. I get a sick enjoyment out of that cracking sound when the skin breaks and the puss and blood fly out.
I'm sorry for even writing this because I know how disgusting it must sound, but just wondering if this would be considered SI or I just that messed up

Remember the scene from the movie Animal House? It was mashed potatoes. That guy stuffed his face with them and then smacked his face to make the contents go out his mouth. He was making a joke? What am I right now? A zit. Get it? You can ignore the music. I did.

As for acne, it is an active infection and it really is better to prevent them or treat them early. I prefer to take a tiny bit of tea tree oil and apply it to any affected areas. This is supposed to have the effect of killing bacteria trapped in the pores.

Weird? I don't know. I guess it would be weird if you made a point of having people watch you do it or something. But I think it is safe to assume everyone does it in private when they have to. I've even heard people say that they found it especially satisfying when the contents actually hit the mirror.

Not to worry. Popping zits is fun. For anybody, strange or normal. Like picking your nose or getting the wax out of your ears. Or cleaning between your toes. Or ripping off your toenails. If you want to think of yourself as strange, you'll have to do a lot better than that.
