Is so strong. And so different this time. I had surgery last Wed and usually after such an event I have no urge for weeks.... I am deep in the pit and am having trouble distracting myself. I will go back to work tomorrow so I will be ok during the working hours but am worried about after work and after physical therapy..........

I agree that being alone, it gets harder to distract yourself. If you haven't read it yet, there is a thread "Things to do instead of hurting yourself" stickied to the top of the main Self Injury thread. It has a vast list of things to do to distract yourself, or try instead of si'ing. I hope you make it safely while you are alone.

Please try to abstain from injuring yourself. Try to keep as busy as humanly possible. Most of all keep your hands busy! I don't care if you have to masturbate all night or pick up a pen and draw continuous circles all night...do it! As long as you keep your hands busy I think you'll do just fine!

Do you have a live journal? That may help, too. I have one and I journal in it when I'm struggling with cutting. Just go to www.livejournal.com to set one up. It's also free!

Personally I journal here at PC, but journaling is good too (not to say masturbation can't be! lol) but it lets you gets your feelings out and sometimes lets you see patterns/triggers. =)
