Hey pc fam.. I hope everyone is doing good today.

I need some help. I am really thinking about si lately. I have never done it before. I just feel it might make me feel better right now. I don't want to do it. What are some of the things yall do to prevent si before it even starts?

Thanx in advance

Try distracting yourself, Since you have not started it could be easier. Read a book, watch a movie. The number one thing to do is to get some exercise. Having the heart rate increase decreases the thinking. Totally zone out, don't think just exercise. IE climb some stairs, run, jog, power walk, go to a gym (if you can). ButterfliPrincess you can get through this, and just don't start to si, it's easier if you don't.
Thanks for this!

Don't do it because once you start, it's addicting. I have scars on my skin and one time I split a little piece of my skin open. But I didn't get that treated. It might help short term but in the long term it won't be good.

Everyone is right, it's better not to start down this path. You might start off intending to do little damage, and then get out of control before you realise. I have scars that will never disappear. Don't do it to yourself. You deserve better

Do you have a therapist? If not could you get one? I wish I had sought treatment sooner...

Like Puzzclar suggested, use exercise to get past any urge to SI - it'll boost your mood, too.

Best wishes
