Hey everyone,
I find myself cutting more & more lately...mostly on my arm. I'm starting to think I need some ideas of how to cover them up. I always wear long sleeves, but since I'm in school working with my hands 95% of the time I always have to roll up my sleeves. I just want to prevent me accidentally showing my scars...like I almost did today. Any ideas will help. Thanks 8) |

I think I would get help so it wasn't a problem but if I did not want to do that, I would bandage the lower ones that might show and, if asked, merely say, "cut myself there" and turn away from questions. It would be the truth but I think most non-self-injurers' minds would go more to accidentally, as if you "scraped" yourself, bumped a sharp edge, etc.

Thanks....I don't think I have the courage to say that. I am getting help though...haven't decided whether I actually want to completely stop 8\

I don't have any suggestions for cover up. When I cut myself in the past, I didn't bother trying to cover it up because all the excuses seemed stupid. And frankly, I couldn't be bothered with what others thought. And even if I did know cover-up strategies...I probably wouldn't share them because that might make it seem easier to cut, knowing that there are ways to hide it. =/
I hope you decide to stop self-harming soon. |
