Well, one night after 4 years of not feeling anything, I decided to cut, to see what it felt like. For once I felt something. The next day, I regretted it because of the marks. But looking back on it, no one noticed I cut myself. No one at school, not my schools disability counselor, no one. I haven't done it since then, so damn embarrassed. Never will do it again, but felt like crap since no one noticed. And all they had to do was look at me and it would be obvious what had happened.

You are very smart not to do it again. I remember feeling that way in church. No one ever noticed all the cuts along my wrists. Yes, I tried to hide them some, but if anyone had actually looked it would have been obvious.

As much as you don't want people to see, you still want them to care.

In my experience a lot of people are oblivious to self harm, don’t want to acknowledge it, or don’t know how to react so they don’t say anything at all. None the less you made the right choice not to do it again. It can become a terrible habit that can have lifelong consequences.

The only thing I remember was the rush I got when I cut myself. I know its messed up to say, but one of the few times I actually felt alive/ felt something.

Even if people "notice" they often "dont' notice" because their mind just won't let them aknowlege it because they don't know how to deal with it.

I hope you never do it again, it's such a horrible addiction.

I know exactly how that is but you need to find other healthier ways to cope. Cutting isn’t worth it in the long run. Stay strong.
