I dont know if others feel this but I think my life sucks. I do not understand why I have these negative thoughts. The thoughts of doing si and having suicidal idealizations for no apparent reason except to feel the pain makes no sense to me, the pdoc and t thinks there is something behind them but I have no idea what that is. All I know is that doing certain things like si helps why should I quit. Its others that cannot deal with the scars not me. I just wish all the negative thoughts would end, but I dont see them ending after dealing with them for 20 some years. sorry for rambling.

I understand how you feel. I didn't want to stop either. But even if you don't want to stop for you, can you stop for the people who care about you?

Here's my latest kick of advice. Read the big book for Alcoholics Anonymous. So much of it applies to us as self injurers. I also am a huge advocate of 12 step programs since I never would be cut free this long without them.

Oh God don't even give into that AA crap.

Giving into a higher power and all that? Really? There's no higher power! No-one is higher than you, except you! YOU are the higher power to controlling your life.

I have looked into the AA stuff before never really did anything for me. I agree that yourself is the higher power that we answer too. Talked to psychiatrist today and she wants me to go inpatient for a few days not sure if I will or not.
