Just because your mom doesn't get it, it doesn't mean she doesn't care. She might just be unfamiliar with the SI concept and have no idea what to do. Maybe tell her specifically what you want her to do to help you, that might help. At least you're brave enough to tell her about it! (Unlike me, for instance)

Reminded me of this song when I saw the title...

Censored (no nakedness)

Uncensored

Nothing to do with self-harm, it's safe to click, not triggering or anything

Anyways, I have no idea where you are in the world or how old you are, so I don't know if you can go to hospital on your own depending on your age and depending if you have to pay for treatment. I don't have any advice to be honest, except please do seek medical treatment for the wound if it is that bad ASAP.

Also, how come it says you have 0 posts? o_o

Hello, do not be ashamed of going back to your maladaptive coping mechanism, remind yourself that your are hurting and what your doing is one way of releasing this. To go 5 months is fantastic and you should give yourself a pat on the back for this. Don't quit quitting, you are strong and brave there will come a day when you realise that you have learned another way to cope but this is the only way you know how at the moment.

Have you ever looked at alternative ways of coping?

When things have calmed down and feel comfortable looked up different ways of dealing with the pain when it comes again and before you grab the razor try working your way down the list to see if you can survive the urge. I wish you all the best you are a ray of hope that changes can be made. I regret cutting when I was a child because I still carry the scares with me today as a 30 year old and they are a constant reminder of the hurt. I hope you have not been too badly effected by this. I over came it the same way as you, slowly, relapse and try again I did not even realise that it was no longer the first thing I thought of doing when I was hurting it ended and that day will come for you too!!!!
