Today, I am thankful for being alive. I overdosed last night but it filled me with a new realization that I no longer have to live to please other people. I can live my life single and free from the obligations of others. I feel so calm and peaceful. I have a job and I can make new friends here and I love you all for the support you have shown me. I don't feel quite as alone.

Oh, love. You are so amazing. I am so so so so happy that you are okay after that OD. That breaks my heart that that happened. Just checking, but do you have someone to talk to (like a therapist/counselor/older sibling/parent)? I don't want to see you struggle through this on your own. We are all here for you, but I know how important it is to have at least one good strong supporter in your daily life.

I have a therapist but we don't get to see each other very often. Don't want to bother her.

Trust me when I say that your therapist will *NOT* see you as a bother at all. I used to think that too, but she actually wants to hear from you, even if they are just little updates. I think it would be super helpful, so that she can better help you, if you let her know that you are struggling with SI thoughts and that you need someone to talk to when they become overwhelming. That's what she's there for, to help you grow and to talk things through. She would rather hear your struggles and know what is happening so she can guide you through it, instead of being stuck in the dark, thinking everything is okay and that you only need her once in a long while. I was like that at first, until she made a comment why I was spacing my appointments so far apart when it was clear to her that I needed more help than I was allowing myself to take.

Trust me; your happiness and health are SO worth it, and she wants to help you get to a good place.

I don't think your T would see you as a bother at all! She's there to help you, as often as that may be. I don't think your T would mind one bit if you needed to speak to her more often.
