So Ive been cutting but I want to stop but obviously thats hard. After ages trying to build the couragw up I told my mother which was really hard for me to do. The thing is she hasnt helped me in anyway, like she dosnt want to talk about it. I get that she's probsbly in shock and dosnt know what to do so I suggested that she takes me to my gp but she seems reluctants to do so and she told me not to tell anyone about tge cuttong which made me feel worse. I dont know who else to turn yo for help, I cant say it to my dad and I only have one close friend but she has so much going on in her life that Id feel guilty adding to it. Basically I need help but i cant get it and it just makes me think I should give up.

I'm sorry you haven't received the support you wanted
![]() Would it be possible to arrange the doctors appointment yourself after discussing it with her? Explain why you want to see your doctor and how it might help. Otherwise are you at school? Your school counselor might be able to help, both for you to begin managing the cutting and discussing it with your mum. |

The school will inform both parents. It kills when your child is self harming. There's a "What did I do so wrong as a parent that made my child turn to this instead of to me?" and "I'm a horrible parent everyone else will think that to so CPS will take my kids." I suggest going to a local clinic or make the appointment and ask your dad to take you to GP and tell him it's girl problems. Any lie you can use to get in.
