So Ive been cutting but I want to stop but obviously thats hard. After ages trying to build the couragw up I told my mother which was really hard for me to do. The thing is she hasnt helped me in anyway, like she dosnt want to talk about it. I get that she's probsbly in shock and dosnt know what to do so I suggested that she takes me to my gp but she seems reluctants to do so and she told me not to tell anyone about tge cuttong which made me feel worse. I dont know who else to turn yo for help, I cant say it to my dad and I only have one close friend but she has so much going on in her life that Id feel guilty adding to it. Basically I need help but i cant get it and it just makes me think I should give up.

if she wont take you to your doctor - you CAN go to your school councilor.
Assuming you are in the USA - they are required to have you see a therapist (who will be able to help you). Good luck kiddo. |

If you don't feel comfortable see your school councillor then can you talk to a teacher that you trust? I agree that you shouldn't leave it until your 18, the sooner you get help the better! Perhaps you can explain to your teacher that your mum won't take you seriously and you don't know how to make her see that you need help, maybe the teacher can have a word woth your mum. Just an idea. I hope you can get help soon
