I kept telling myself that if tomorrow came and I still felt like it, I would cut. I've got the whole day to go, but at least it stopped me from doing it last night. I want to say screw all the coping skills I've learned. I just want to cut. But the impulse is gone for now.

Thank you! I ended up not doing it! A record since the last time was July. Thought I was going to ruin my record, but so far, so good!

Thank you. I know at least I've gotten to the point that I don't currently impulsively do it. It's been my coping skill for so many years, I can't believe I'll ever get to the point where it's not he first thing that comes in mind to do when I'm in emotional pain. But I'm trying and I appreciate everyone's support!

Thank you both. I appreciate the support. So far, so good. The need to do it is now gone. This is like the second time in months that I was able to make it through an emotional crisis without cutting! Good luck to anyone that struggles with this.

Thanks. I'm not sure that I did much but wait it out and wait until morning. Last time I had to keep busy for 1.5 days before the impulse left.
