I finally did it. I had enough of them looming over me every time I walk into my room. I had them in this little decorative box (oh the irony) and I had enough of it winning. I haven't cut in 22 days now, and I am done I am finished with this. So I finally threw them out. I had a moment of panic, of thinking "god I am going to need to buy more", but it passed after breathing calmly.

This is big for me. I've always had them on me since I was 18. I am 23 now. I finally did it.

Great for you! I wish I had your courage. I've been able to go for months without self-harming before (I've relapsed lately), but I always need to have the razor just to look at, sometimes.

Congrats!!

No, you haven't. I'm really proud of you. 22 days is not nothing... it took me 8 months without cutting to get the courage to throw my blades away. I'm guessing you have the wish to quit, you just need to keep bouncing off that.

Take care.

Not at all!! The thought never crossed my mind (any of our's probably)! Take care of yourself. I know you'll be back to 22 days in no time! That was a big feat alone!

that's great you through them out,

i could never throw my blades out.... in fact, i remember back in the days i used msn messenger- someone was constantly on at me to throw them out.. and we actually fell out over it- i told them, you know, you're insensitive. you don't know what it's like for me

anyway enough about that... good for you

You didn't let me down. Don't beat yourself up over it. You just do the best you can. Did you have something in place to replace it with? Sometimes that helps me. Take care.
