I've been going through a particularly bad time, and I've pretty much ruined my bed sheets, several pieces of clothing, and the inside of my bracelets with blood stains. Does anyone have any tricks for getting them out? Even after they've been setting for a couple days?

Peroxide for immediate use. And if you wash the clothes, wash them in cold water.

For fresh stains the best way is with cold water and peroxide but that generally doesn't work so well on older stains.
For older stains I have found the best way is to soak the garment in cold water and then cover the stain with salt or bicarb soda. Rub it in gently until it resembles a paste & leave it for 30 minutes or so. Then wash on a cold wash. Apparently WD40 spray can also help to lift stains but I haven't tried this. Blood is one of the hardest substances to remove after it has dried though so it may not come out of your clothes but it may at least not be as prominent. And always use cool/cold water. Hot water will just set the stain further and make it almost impossible to remove. |

Cold peroxide and cold water definitely are the best ways to get out blood stains, unfortunately blood is one of the hardest things to get out of clothing, and other things, especially if it sits. But peroxide will get out most of it

I have had very good luck with spray and wash.... Spray the living heck out of the spots and leave it soak overnight.

Thanks, I had some luck, although unfortunately a lot of the stains were too old to completely disappear. Hopefully they'll fade more after repeated washings.
