I made it 2 and a half months without cutting, just ruined all my progress. It felt so good but bad at the same time. I actually thought I'd make it to a year . Now that I've started again I'm not ready to quit any time soon, I can't quit. It helps me so much but its such a terrible habit. I'm so ashamed of myself.

Please try to not be too hard on yourself. We all struggle and sometimes we fall but when you are ready it is possible to get there again. When you are ready it is possible to stop again. But it's all in your own time

Take care of yourself. Thinking of you
Thanks for this!

I am sorry that you relapsed, and I know what the repercussions feel like. I don't think that self-harmers warrant shame, you are doing your best to cope, and until issues are mostly dealt with it will be tough. But you are surviving and that is the most important thing right now.

What other coping methods do you have? Sometimes thinking and writing down what you have in your tool bad helps to realize that you have other coping skills.

Are there things that are going on to trigger the SI? Was it a one time things that turned into a compulsion, or are you triggered by an onslaught of continuous negative emotions or experiences or stressers?

Let me know if you want to talk.
Thanks for this!

Some of my coping skills are journaling, taking walks, doing puzzles. I have a whole list actually but I can't remember where I put it.

I'm just extremely stressed right now and also have been going through a depressed episode the past 8 weeks. Some of the urges are coming from thoughts of sui. Which are also urges at times but cutting seemed like the best temporary relief .

I just wanted you to know you've been a huge influence of mine for these past 2 and a half months and I believe that you can quit this again. I believe in you and I thank you for the inspiration.

Just because you SI'ed again does not mean your progress meant nothing. You made it that long once, you can make it again. You have to take steps backward to take steps forward.
