Am I a sick individual or simply artistically inclined if I find self harm (some of it) to be beautiful? I was looking up some self harm stuff online (that kind of day) and found a photo of a girl. Immediately I linked the strokes of the blade and resembled them brush strokes on the skin. Is that okay? Would a non-self harmer EVER think that?

I agree.
It can be art. It most certainly is attractive to me. |

Tonight's cuts didn't hurt at all. They just looked beautiful, feminine.

I'm sorry, I don't understand. How are the cuts beautiful? It's an honest question. I am really curious.

Referring to my own, they look like the strokes of a paint brush on an abstract piece. These particular cuts were aligned nicely without effort, a clean swipe of beautiful painful pink no excess spill over blood. They don't look like scars to me (and I do have some that do look like scars) and don't have any nicks or uneven depths - they look like feminine graceful lines of life.
Not to mention the blood on the tissue frayed in a light blended radiance without blotchy puddles throughout.

Certainly you have seem married couples, couples in love. Some may be fat, some may be skinny. Tall or short. Red hair, blonde, brown, blue, green, pink. Whatever.
Do you doubt that VERY different looking people can LOVE another person who looks very different than what you find attractive? I find cutters totally sexy. (and yes, I am a cutter too) |
