I have a doctors appointment tomorrow. I have them every month as my doctor also helps to keep track of my mental stability. She knows that I've been battling SI amongst other mental health issues that are rapidly deteriorating. Since last month's visit, my SI has spread to my wrist. And I'm unsure if I should show her or not. But one thing I need to make clear. I used to SI just for the rush... Now it's the only thing that's keeping me from SUI. And the effect is starting to wear off. My friends think I shouldn't be in my own home anymore. And my boyfriend wants me to go in patient because according to him, I'm not coping. I'm barely hanging on.

I would listen to those around you. Go ahead and show your doc, tell her/him the truth. I plan on doing the same on my appointment and i'm in the exact same boat as you. I know its scary. Its for your own good though because you are struggling.

Sending hugs and good luck wishes your way

Tell them. I know it's scary, but the sooner you seek help, the sooner you can learn ways to cope with your life. Oftentimes those around us can see and judge a situation then we can when we are in the middle of it. Listen to those that you love and trust, they can be your best resources and allies.

I agree that you should tell her. I understand that it is frightening, I went through this myself a few weeks ago so I can relate. I hope she gives you the support you need.
Thanks for this!

Well that visit has lead to professionals checking up on me from home on a daily basis. But the people from the crisis team say I've got a lot of problems so it's okay for me to SI as a coping mechanism as long as I take care of my wounds.

Showing her could be scary, but I think you'll be amazed at how relieved you will feel afterwards.
