In the past i only si'd in covered places on my body. I never cut where people would be able to see the cuts or scars. Now i have a sudden urge to slice my fingers up, to cut them. To have the blood pouring out of my fingers.
why is it? What's causing me to suddenly want it done on a publicly seen part of my body? I know people will notice at work. So why do i want it?

Is it possible that you subconsciously want someone to notice how much you are struggling, so they can help you or just express some empathy for what you are going through? Or maybe you're getting tired of keeping it a secret, and you just want it out in the open?

I think there could be a huge number of reasons for why you'd possibly want to do this. If you're seeing a therapist, perhaps you could talk to him/her about it.

I've been feeling that way too... but instead of my fingers, I just want to slice up my wrist/ forearm. I don't know why ...

I always want to do it on my left wrist or forearm. I don't know why, but then I don't know why I do it at all.

It's not for wanting help or empathy. I know I'm thw only one that can give that to me. No t to run this by. That's why it's scaring me. Not sure where it's coming from.

My wrists are full of scars already, I'm up to the next free space on my body.
