From what I've noticed, most people seem to be triggered by negative emotions and stress. But lately, I've had sudden feelings of euphoria and excitement and during these times is when my mind goes to SI. I talked to my T about it, and she wondered if it related to something like mania or psychosis. My Pdoc decided it was time to bring up my antipsychotic.
Does anyone else have any experience with positive feelings relating to self injury? I wouldn't be surprised if I was the only one, that seems to be the trend with me lately.

This happens to me all the time. It is like I have a lot of energy and I don't know what to do with it, so I self harm. You are not alone buddy.

I can not say that I ever feel euphoria (surprised I can even spell it).

But I can say (this may sound strange) that I fear happiness. Because I know if I experience happiness - soon afterwards my depression will attack me even more. Almost as a revenge against me for having something positive in my life.

Useless I used to get that. I hardly get depressed anymore because of the medication I'm on now though. Which is a good thing!

Maybe that's what my problem is. I start thinking about the things I could cut myself with or the things I could do to other people like hitting/yelling at them for no reason, but I have lots of self control as far as that goes.
