Anyone with bulimia and also self injures? I started when I was about 10, maybe younger. I use to punish myself for eating or eating "bad" things and for not burning enough calories as well. So I didn't cut but I started punishing myself by hitting and pinching and taking hot and cold showers and baths and also making myself lay on the freezing cold floor in the walk in closet in the old farm house I was living in. Also put the heating pad on myself until it was burning hot . . . ect, ect, ect. Then I cut a couple times way later when I was 20 and in college, freaked myself out and got some help, oh so hard! Haven't SIed for 15 months. But then the bulimia started for real and I started taking laxatives and vomiting. But I think I had an eating disorder way before when I was self injuring because of food . . . What do you think?

Hi and welcome

(((((((hopes4)))))))

You asked if anyone has bulimia and also SIs.
I think bulimia is a self harming act. I don't suffer from bulimia, but i do self harm in different ways. Some of them the ways you mentioned.

i think the 15 months that you didnt hurt yourself was great. You should hold onto the thought of that. I'm sorry you've returned to bulimia. Was there a particular trigger?

I'm here if you wanna talk some more. Be good to yourself n dont give yourself a hard time for slipping back into old ways of coping with stuff. We all do that sometimes.

Take care.
