My wife just talked to our Dr this morning and Dr mentioned to her that she actually had another patient cut where I did, and she thought of me and hoped I was well.
I was floored. This is the first time someone I know in real life actually knows someone else that does/did it... I get looks from doctors like I have three heads or something when they find out, and with t's is always been "is not unheard of for people with your history", but it's never been "I have another patient who did that"...
I left a message with her office asking if she could call me when she had time because I had questions around what she had mentioned to my wife. I don't want any confidential info, but maybe just reassurance that I'm not as much of a freak as I feel...
Really hope she calls back. I know she's always really busy.

OMG you are so not a freak.....I am sure there are so many people on this site that do just what you do...it is just waiting it out to find them...lol....just a couple weeks ago, in one week, I found two posts of people doing what I do. not close to what I do, but exactly what I do....one of them was my deep dark secret that I wont even tell t about I am so embarrassed because I think it makes me a freak and here someone is brave enough to post about it...I told them I loved them...lol...because I didn't feel like a freak anymore...you are so not alone!

it's weird thing tho, isn't it? like, I don't want anyone to have gone through anything like I went through to get to this point, but omg it feels good to know I'm not the only one on the planet...
