...and I'm really quite sad that after a month SH free, I chose to self harm so much last night.

Actually your choice of words is most interesting; 'i chose to self harm last night.' It's great that you take such ownership over your actions, it suggests you're capable of taking responsibility. As proved by your month long abstinence. What set off this relapse? Are you able to work your way through this with a professional? Please keep going, i don't think any of us can expect to be 100% of self harm for the rest of our lives but the goal should be on reducing self injurious behaviour and turning to other options first. I hope you feel better soon.

Sorry I missed out the word 'free.' Just my opinion...I found that the moment I stopped pressurising myself to quit SI forever, i did it a lot less. I can't remember the last time I self harmed now but I would never say ill never do it again...
