Just wondering if any of you have had friends that were depressed os doing self harming. If so how did you discover it? Did they told you? Or you discovered by yourself? Like were there any signals that made you think they were in a bad place

odds are if you have a friend who is self harming the usual way it is done is cutting. If you touch their arm they may flinch because they have cut there. I have had no experiences in finding out that my friends have self harmed unless they tell me about it after they have already stopped. If i were you i would ask/talk to them about it but don't push too hard. I wish whichever one of your friend whom do good luck and you to.

I've found out because I saw the cuts on my friends wrist. he's a cynical and rather sad guy, so I guess those count as red flags. I've noticed he occasionally brings up wishing he was dead too. That's one to look out for. I watch him closely now, and he knows it. He's tried hiding them better but I still check up on him. I wish you the best of luck with your friend So as an self harmer and friend of a self harmer I know it's a horrible place to be xx
