Why is it that when I hear of a new why I can hurt myself I want to do it? Is it just curiosity? Is it to see if it is... more 'effectice' than my own methods? I read a mag article ('human interest' story) on a girl today who has used 2 methods that I have never thought of before. In fact, one is totally accessable and I could do it right now (but YAY, no urges at the mo

I do that too. I haven't ever tried to figure out why, but I think in the back of my head I must be thinking there will be a next time, and maybe I can try something else then.

I think we are always looking for easier or better ways - mentioning the "hows" usually is triggering for me...

I do not have an answer as to why... but I too reserach if I hear of a "new" way.... I usually end up trying it though

I don’t have much imagination—I’ve been using the same technique since I was a kid—for like the last 20 years. I never deviate and don’t really get triggered by other ideas. I guess I am stuck in a routine, but, really, I don’t need or want any other ways to hurt myself.
